I think its so funny when i see people talking about bizly characters and how theyre all kinda pathetic greasy morally questionable asshole w family issues and a sense of guilt, but no one ever talks about mountain or includes him in those posts and i think its silly bc obviously not a lot of people have watched fated or know about mountain as a character, but he really is just a guy who wants to hang out with his dog and happens to be a bastard prince that was raised by giants

been revoling an au/crossover around my head lately, and it's making me think so much about Velrisa and how interesting of a character she is

like mainly in the way she reacts to things that happen around her is interesting to me with how she was raised to be a priest, she's genuinely one of the smartest out of everyone in the group, but she's also quiet and tends to keep to herself which often causes shit to go awry causing her to also get in trouble with the rest of the group especially early on

she's generally serious when faced with danger, but there are points where she seems to somewhat crack under that pressure, like when Taxi is downed while the group is ambushed, and she just walks away to order some water from the bar while Br'aad is still fighting their attackers and trying to get Taxi to safety

and especially later on when, during combat, she kills that child and ends up having to go through that repentance arc and how much she seems to struggle with herself noticeable in how much quieter she becomes after it happens

idk, i don't have any big points about this since i'm not amazing at character analysis, my main thing is that she's such a good character, but the dm is a bitch who can't portray women normally so she gets the short end of the stick so often which i feel results in the fanbase not giving her as much content as the others which makes me so sad

i like to think that the whole running an orphanage think with the Vengolor bros would’ve come about so randomly??

like the fated are in the middle of some city or whatever and Br’aad catches some kids playing out the front of this orphanage. It’s homely and cozy, the kids are happy, no tears in their clothes, no dirt covering their face from neglect.

He sees kids of different races playing together too, even some half-elves and humans, shit like that.

He just stands there for a bit, a small smile on his face. Sylnan sees his younger brother zoning out a little at the sight and checks on him.

And Br’aad just randomly asks what if THEY did something like that? What if they were able to give kids without a home a place to CALL home. A place just like that orphanage. Where nobody is scared of the people working there, or neglected.

For now it’s just a what if. A nice thing to think about. But the more people The Fated save, the more places they visit, the more that ‘what if’ becomes an eventuality.
